Google's Project Glass

It may seem a bit funny, but I heard about it today. Quite a bit late.  Well, such a delay will not be the last I suppose. You've got to get used to it :) You'll all probably know about it already. In case you don't here's the link: Google Project Glass.

First of all, did you see those sandwiches he was eating at 00:28 ? They look delicious! Yes, I'm hungry right now :)

Get to the topic, you are saying. OK. Here are my thoughts.

Generally, quite an awesome idea. It will, however, spread people's laziness tremendously. Pretty much everything what has been shown in the video can be done with today's smartphones. But it occupates your hands and whole attention at a time, does it not? So people, I at least, even nowadays tend to use their phones when they are really anxious that they forget some valuable information. With these glasses Google would encourage to entirely stop using your memory and it can be a setback for individuals as well as society.

Interesting is how it will be recieved by customers and generally, by people walking by users of this gadget. I still can't get used to people making calls with their earphones on. It takes me several moments to realise that he/she is not talking to oneself. Actually, he/she is :) Google glasses will popularize it further.

On the other hand which one of us does not want to feel a little like a terminator ?

It's important that new ideas are generated, formed into descibeable shape and presented to wider audience. I wonder how quickly it will be developed and when it will be seen on the street. I , as a tech geek, can only wish it will be soon

What's your thought about this project? Also, I welcome any comments about my spelling and grammar as I'm currently learning English.

Anyways, when I saw Google Glass, I was amazed! I want one so bad! But they'll probably not going to be on the market for at least five years haha.

  6. I don't agree that people will stop using their memory and that it will be a setback for society. People had those same fears when the internet first gained popularity, but the internet actually gave people much greater access to news and information that interests them, and it isn't damaging our memories or society.
This technology (if it's ever completed) will increase our ability to access important information and will improve our daily lives greatly.
